Primary Purpose

To help entrepreneurs to meet their goals by bridging the knowledge and networking gaps for start-ups and growing businesses in Connecticut through unique online resources.

Means

Offer unique combination of Connecticut-specific business information, essential business building tips, and networking opportunities via website.

Provide electronic and conventional links to regional and state-wide small business support network.

Provide training, counseling and technical assistance through our network of professionals.

Form

SBRC is a virtual entity, run as a personal free service by Wyn Lydecker. To get help with your venture, click on our links or e-mail us.

Track Record

For the past two years, Ms. Lydecker has been writing business plans for ventures seeking $500,000 to $20,000,000. Most of these companies are still going concerns. One, FindWhat.com, is now profitable. She also develops marketing communications materials.

Wyn works with a network of talented professionals with expertise in helping businesses.

Previously, Ms. Lydecker ran the SBRC as part of Continuing Education at Norwalk Community College. SBRC ran Four Annual Small Business Fairs attracted total of 1,200+ participants and 100+ exhibitors. Fairs featured exhibitors, networking and workshops on start-ups and growing businesses.

Offered 60+ workshops.

Delivered 80+ individualized small business and career transition counseling sessions.

Introduced business owners to CT small business support network.

Under Norwalk Redevelopment Community Development Block Grant and City of Norwalk Weed & Seed grant, serviced 75+ entrepreneurs via scheduled classes and through individual technical assistance.
