Mission or Statement of Purpose:

The Connecticut Economic Resource Center, Inc. {CERC} is a nonprofit, private sector corporation managed through a unique partnership between Connecticut’s utility/telecommunication companies and state government. The CERC serves as a one-stop gateway to information on programs and services available through the Connecticut Department of Economic Development and other state, local and federal governments as well as the private sector.

Products and Services for Small Business:

  • Site Finder. In cooperation with the state’s Commercial Real Estate Brokers, the CERC maintains a computer database of Connecticut’s commercial and industrial properties and executes database searches for callers, DECD clients or clients of other economic development agencies. The site finder {TM} is now available on-line to brokers.
  • Site Profile/location Analysis. CERC can create a detailed profile supporting the marketing of industrial or commercial sites throughout Connecticut, including demographics, economic data, geographical comparisons, ect..
  • Mapping. Using the breadth of CERC’s data resources, CERC generates custom maps for any type of economic information.
  • Economic Research/Data. CERC has the most comprehensive source of Connecticut research data.
  • Market Data. CERC is currently working on an updated expanded electronic version of the Market Data book. The information will be the most complete statistical abstract of Connecticut available.

Lists. CERC generates lists using a wide variety of criteria including such factors as: employment, industry, geography, revenue, ect.
